NEW ORLEANS — It appears Kendrick Lamar had more than one special guest during his Super Bowl 59 halftime show performance.
As Lamar closed out his performance with his hit single ‘tv off,’ a man dressed in black went rogue on stage and waved around a Palestinian flag as he ran around the set. The protestor stood atop a black lowrider vehicle that Lamar opened his performance on and moved toward the 50-yard-line before he was tackled to the group by security.
It’s not clear if the man was part of Lamar’s performance, which included dozens of dancers dressed in similar clothing. The protestor was handcuffed and escorted off the field by at least five officers.
Lamar was joined by SZA, Samuel L. Jackson and Serena Williams during his halftime show.
